Alright, so I don't like certain parts of the LEGEND reboot. It's not a story gripe, though; it's an art gripe. I hate the way I've done certain panels, certain designs, and so I'm revising them. As the next couple of days progress, I'm tackling the pages and revising the art to be more palatable to me and just generally better over all.

I discovered something while I was inking—that is, that I'm terrible at inking, as such. I normally start with a sketch, dividing the page into the appropriate panels, and then inking over what I've sketched. For some reason, this causes me to lose focus on what I'm actually trying to say in the panel. It becomes flat, plain, ordinary, and uninteresting, unlike what the original sketch attempts to communicate. So, from now on, I'm trying to entirely avoid sketches except to lay out the panel design—instead, I skip straight to a sort of "messy inking," a combination of the sketch and ink phases, and then try to clean up some of the sketchier lines afterward.
